How to Build Your Own Outdoor Pool Table
Building an outdoor pool table is a great way to add some fun and excitement to your backyard. It's also a relatively affordable project that can be completed in a weekend with the right tools and materials.
Here's a step-by-step guide to help you build your own outdoor pool table:
Materials You'll Need:
- 8' x 4' sheet of 3/4" plywood
- 6' x 4' sheet of 1/2" plywood
- 4' x 4' sheet of 1/4" hardboard
- 12' x 2' strip of 1" x 4" pine
- 4' x 4' sheet of 1/4" foam rubber
- 10' x 10' piece of felt
- Pool table pockets (6)
- Pool table rails (4)
- Pool table legs (4)
- Pool table balls (16)
- Pool table cues (2)
- Wood screws
- Nails
- Glue
Tools You'll Need:
- Circular saw
- Table saw
- Drill
- Screwdriver
- Hammer
- Clamps
- Level
Instructions:
1. Cut the plywood: Use the circular saw to cut the 3/4" plywood into two 4' x 8' pieces. These will be the top and bottom of the pool table. Cut the 1/2" plywood into two 4' x 6' pieces. These will be the sides of the pool table. 2. Assemble the frame: Lay the two 4' x 8' pieces of plywood on the ground, parallel to each other and 4' apart. Attach the two 4' x 6' pieces of plywood to the ends of the 4' x 8' pieces, using wood screws. Make sure the screws are countersunk so they don't interfere with the pool table felt. 3. Install the hardboard: Cut the 1/4" hardboard into four 4' x 2' pieces. These will form the bottom of the pool table pockets. Attach the hardboard pieces to the inside of the frame, flush with the top of the frame. 4. Install the foam rubber: Cut the 1/4" foam rubber into a 4' x 8' sheet. Attach the foam rubber to the top of the frame, using glue. 5. Install the felt: Cut the felt into a 10' x 10' piece. Lay the felt over the foam rubber and smooth it out. Staple the felt to the frame, pulling it taut. 6. Install the pockets: Install the pool table pockets in the corners of the table. 7. Install the rails: Install the pool table rails on the sides of the table. 8. Install the legs: Attach the pool table legs to the bottom of the table. 9. Level the table: Use a level to make sure the table is level. Adjust the legs as needed. 10. Enjoy your new pool table!Diy Outdoor Pool Dining Table Facebook Marketplace Transformation
