Materials You'll Need:

  • 2x4 lumber (10 feet)
  • 3/4-inch dowels (12 feet)
  • 1-inch wood screws
  • 2-inch wood screws
  • Wood glue
  • Carpet
  • Shuffleboard wax

Step 1: Build the Table Base

  1. Cut two pieces of 3/4-inch plywood to 9 feet long by 2 feet wide.
  2. Cut two pieces of 2x4 lumber to 9 feet long.
  3. Attach the 2x4s to the edges of the plywood, using 2-inch wood screws. Make sure the 2x4s are flush with the edges of the plywood.
  4. Attach the two plywood pieces together, using 1-inch wood screws. Make sure the edges of the plywood are flush.

Step 2: Install the Playing Surface

  1. Cut a piece of 1/2-inch plywood to 9 feet long by 18 inches wide.
