Building a Pub Table Base: A Comprehensive Guide

Materials
To build a pub table base, you will need the following materials:
- Four 4x4 posts (36" long)
- Four 2x4 crossbeams (18" long)
- Eight 3/8" bolts (4" long)
- Eight 3/8" washers
- Eight 3/8" nuts
- Wood glue
- Clamps
- Drill
- Socket wrench
- Saw
- Measuring tape
- Pencil
Instructions
Follow these steps to build a pub table base:
1.Cut the posts and crossbeams.
Cut the 4x4 posts to 36" long and the 2x4 crossbeams to 18" long. 2.Assemble the base.
Place the four posts on a flat surface, spaced evenly apart. Apply wood glue to the ends of the crossbeams and insert them into the holes in the posts. Secure the crossbeams with bolts, washers, and nuts. 3.Reinforce the base.
For added stability, add two more crossbeams to the base. Cut these crossbeams to 12" long and place them perpendicular to the first crossbeams. Secure them with bolts, washers, and nuts. 4.Sand and finish the base.
