1. Freezing the Wax:

The first step in removing candle wax from linen is to solidify it. This allows for easy lifting and reduces the risk of further embedding the wax into the fabric. The most effective method for this is freezing. Place the tablecloth, with the wax-stained area facing upwards, in a plastic bag or container and place it in the freezer for at least 30 minutes. 2. Removing the Wax:

Once the wax is frozen, you can begin the removal process. Use a blunt object, like a butter knife, or a credit card to gently scrape off the solidified wax. Start at the edge of the wax and work your way towards the center, being careful not to press too hard, which could further damage the fabric. Dispose of the scraped wax carefully to avoid re-staining the tablecloth.

If some wax remains, you can use a hairdryer on a low heat setting to soften the remaining wax. As the wax melts, use a clean cloth or paper towel to blot up the excess. Repeat this process until all visible wax is removed.
