Materials

The first step is to gather the necessary materials. You will need:

8-foot sheet of 3/4-inch plywood (for the playing surface)
4-inch by 4-inch pine posts (for the legs)
2-inch by 4-inch pine boards (for the frame)
1-inch by 3-inch pine boards (for the rails)
Billiard felt
Staples
Wood glue
Clamps
Screws
Pool table balls and cues

Tools

You will also need the following tools:

Circular saw
Jigsaw
Drill
Sander
Level
Square
Tape measure

Instructions

1. Build the Frame

Cut the 2-inch by 4-inch pine boards to the desired length for the frame. Assemble the frame using wood glue and screws. Make sure the frame is square and level.

2. Build the Legs

Cut the 4-inch by 4-inch pine posts to the desired length for the legs. Attach the legs to the corners of the frame using wood glue and screws.

3. Install the Playing Surface

Cut the 3/4-inch plywood to the size of the playing surface. Place the plywood on top of the frame and secure it with wood glue and screws. Make sure the playing surface is level.

4. Install the Rails

Cut the 1-inch by 3-inch pine boards to the desired length for the rails. Attach the rails to the edges of the playing surface using wood glue and staples.

5. Cover the Table with Felt

Cut the billiard felt to the size of the playing surface. Place the felt on top of the playing surface and secure it with staples. Trim any excess felt around the edges.

6. Install the Pool Table Balls and Cues

Place the pool table balls and cues on the table and you're ready to play!
