How to Refelt Valley Pool Table Rails

Refelting the rails of a Valley pool table is a relatively simple process that can be completed in a few hours. By following these steps, you can ensure that your pool table looks and plays its best.

Materials Needed

New felt
Scissors
Staple gun
Staples
Measuring tape
Chalk

Instructions

1. Remove the old felt from the rails. To do this, simply pull the felt up at one end and then work your way around the rail, pulling the felt off as you go.

2. Clean the rails. Once the old felt is removed, use a damp cloth to clean the rails. This will remove any dirt or debris that may have accumulated on the rails.

3. Measure and cut the new felt. Measure the length of each rail and then cut the new felt to the appropriate length. Be sure to add an extra inch or two to each piece of felt so that you have enough to wrap around the ends of the rails.

4. Apply the new felt to the rails. Start by applying the felt to one end of the rail. Then, work your way around the rail, wrapping the felt around the end and stapling it in place. Be sure to pull the felt taut as you staple it so that it is not loose.

Tips
