Objective of the Game

Gameplay Mechanics

The game is played on a circular table with bumpers lining the rails. Players use a cue stick to shoot the cue ball, which has a classic white color. The cue ball can be positioned anywhere on the table, except for areas obstructed by other balls or bumper cushions.

The object balls are typically solid-colored and numbered 1 through 15. They are placed in a triangular rack at the beginning of each game and spread out after the break shot.

Scoring

Points are earned by sinking object balls into pockets. Each ball sunk earns either 1 or 2 points, depending on the ball's number. The 15-ball, known as the "black" ball, is worth 15 points.

Bonus points are awarded for sinking multiple balls in a single shot, known as "massé" shots. These shots can significantly increase your score and give you an advantage over your opponents.

Fouls

Winning the Game
